![]() Welcome to "What’s afloat" the monthly newsletter from floatopia. ![]() Keeping London cool As Britain has sizzled in its hottest July ever we have been doing our bit to keep London calm. By taking the hot and bothered and returning them to the community cool, calm and collected floatopia has helped dozens chill out! It is a continuing regret that we are not able to offer floats to the entire Middle East! ![]() 2 for 1 summer offer Our fabulous 2 for 1 offer continues throughout August allowing two people to float for the price of one as long as one of them is a new client to floatopia so if you haven't managed to coax a reluctant friend or partner to float yet this is the perfect time. (Click here to book your float!) ![]() Brain balance Recent research using both EEG readings and behavioural analysis has shown that floatation encourages the two hemispheres of the brain to harmonise. It is estimated that as much as 90% of the brain's processing power is generally spent dealing with external stimuli and gravity. In the float environment large areas of the brain are suddenly liberated from their normal workload of processing signals from the nervous system and sense organs. This is a twilight zone of creative, inspirational thought processes, where your learning abilities are at their highest and powers of visualisation and auto-suggestion are greatly enhanced. This is why so many people report emerging with mental clarity on issues which had previously been confused. ![]() Happy Birthday to us! During July floatopia celebrated its second birthday. The first years of a small business are always the trickiest and I would like to thank all of you for the support which has enabled us to make it past this milestone. ![]() Closing Just to remind you about my impending holiday
and associated partial closure. I will be away for 2 weeks from 24 August and during this
time floatopia will be open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday only.
![]() September value day Due to holiday the September value day will be the second Tuesday of the month ie 12 September. ![]() Free floats Thank you for all the entries to the Tour de
France competition last month, for those of you who did not follow it - the race was won in
the most dramatic style for decades by Floyd Landis after a superhuman effort on the final
mountain stage... Unfortunately it now appears that the effort may have been enhanced by
drugs and the jury is still out.

That's it for this month - I do hope to have the opportunity to relax you all soon.
